Leopold Community

The Social Justice Fund was created to assist Leopold Community School Families in times of crisis with needs that are not covered by area resources. Families will work with the School Social Worker or Community School Resource Coordinator to obtain access to funding for their needs. Your financial contribution in conjunction with the partnership between school staff, the Leopold PFO, Joining Forces for Families and the Community Action Coalition, will ensure that more of the needs of Leopold families are being met.

Would you like to directly support a family in need?
Do you feel passionate about helping others in your community?
If so, then YOU might be interested in adopting a Leopold family.
The impact of COVID-19 has been widespread but has disproportionately harmed low-income families in our community. While there are many organizations in the area that can help provide one-time assistance, many of our families would benefit from ongoing support. In order to ease the burden felt by the loss of income, we have set up a system for a family or individual to “adopt” a Leopold family by helping to pay all or part of a bill.
If you are interested or have questions, feel free to contact Meredith Newby at manewby@mmsd.org or Angie Oler at oler.angie@gmail.com.
