Classroom Parents
Classroom parents play an important role in supporting both teachers and families. Each grade level will have two “lead” classroom parents who work directly with teachers to share requests for help—whether it’s organizing classroom events, coordinating field trip volunteers, or pitching in with other needs that come up. Leads then connect with the larger parent group for that grade, making it easy for everyone to get involved at whatever level they can.
But classroom parent groups aren’t just about helping at school—they’re also about building community. These groups give families a chance to connect outside of school through playdates, birthday parties, and other activities, helping strengthen friendships among students and parents alike. Even if you can’t volunteer during the school day, joining your grade-level parent group is a wonderful way to stay connected and support your child’s school experience.
