STEAM FAIR Showcase Dates: March 2nd and 3rd (Parent Teacher Conferences)
Make sure to get your projects to Leopold before March 2nd!
The Leopold STEAM Fair is a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, giving students the chance to share their creativity, curiosity, and skills with the entire school community. Unlike a traditional science fair, the STEAM Fair is not a competition – it is a supportive event where students of all grades can proudly showcase what they love to create and learn about.
🎨 What Can Students Do?
There are no strict rules or categories – students can create projects that connect to any part of STEAM in ways that excite them most. For example:

👩🔬 What Happens at the Fair?
Students will bring their projects to school, where they will be displayed for classmates, teachers, and families to see. During the event, students can sign up for a time to have their project “inspected.”
🔎 What is an Inspector?
Inspectors are friendly community members – such as teachers, staff, local professionals, and volunteers – who visit students’ displays. They are not judges. Instead, they:

✨ STEAM Fair Process
- Students sign up for STEAM Fair
- Students create their project
- Up to them, no rules on what they make/how they make it, etc.
- Students in any grade can participate
- Students can work individually or in a group
- Group can be across grades (really, there's no rules here!)
- Students choose an inspection time
- During the day or night during conferences
- Can choose to not have a time slot as well
- Students bring their projects prior to Parent/Teacher conferences
- March 2nd, 3rd
- Projects are set up around Leopold
- Cafeteria/Gym/Hallways
- Students are matched with an Inspector
- Can choose
- In person at a scheduled time
- Inspector reviews and leaves "notes" on their own
- Can choose
- Project is returned to student
- To their classroom
- With a certificate/notes from the inspector/etc.
