Fundraising
Leopold boasts a wide variety of fundraisers for which we need volunteers. These fundraisers allow our kids not to have to sell things door to door to keep our school strong. However, we do ask that parents give time when they can to make these events successful. Some of these requests will come in the form of a bake sale, etc. where we will ask for baked goods, volunteers, etc. If you know of any companies that would like to help out Leopold, please direction them to our Sponsor Page. Otherwise, see below for ways you can help keep Leopold going strong!

Staff Appreciation
There are many ways we show the faculty of Leopold how much they mean to us!
- Throughout the year the PFO has various events at school, generally involving food (the best way to show you care!). The main event is during Staff Appreciation Week, where the entire week is filled with food and treats!
- Leopold is also trying to enable staff teambuilding to ensure morale amongst faculty stays high, as we all know it can be quite challenging at times running an elementary school! Donations can help create a fun event for faculty on or off the premise and allow them to connect with each other and rejuvenate!
- Sunshine Committee is a group run by Leopold staff for Leopold Staff. This group tries to keep the good times rolling at Leopold, sometimes in a literal sense as they have a 'ray of sun' cart they roll around to the rooms to provide a snack or treats to teachers. Donations can go towards this committee to use as they see fit, as Leopold faculty know what's best for Leopold faculty!
School Needs
There are always needs Leopold has, and most of those needs don't have a budget tied to them. This is when the school reaches out for help from it's PFO or Adopt a School Partners! The PFO typically sets a budget for the school to pull from for whatever they want to use it for, whether it's purchasing items/services for a school event, items in the school, etc. The more donations we get for this, the more the school can utilize!
STEM NIGHT
The PFO hosts STEM Night every year, and we are hoping to not stop there! STEM initiatives at the school can be a real eye opener to some amazing things for the students of Leopold, and incoming donations for STEM help make it happen!
TITO FEST
Tito Fest is a large end of year festival hosted by the PFO. There are many parts to this festival, so donations are greatly appreciated to keep it running strong!
GREEN SCHOOLYARD
The PFO manages the green school yard efforts, including the various gardens. They also handle any gardening efforts linked to the curriculum, etc. which at times means hosting a resident gardener who teaches classes about the environment/gardening/etc. Sometimes the PFO secures a grant, but just like everything else donations can always help ensure the gardening efforts at Leopold can continue on!
Wanting to donate something other than money? You can directly purchase teacher supplies or snacks for the classrooms. These orders can ship directly to the school. You can also always get these items where you normally shop and send them in with your kiddo, too! Want to spread the word at your office or other community gathering places? Download a flyer here!

Facebook Fundraiser
The PFO has Facebook fundraising available to it, so you can create your own fundraiser to help raise funds! Many people have fundraisers for their birthdays, etc. so if you have Facebook consider creating a fundraising event for this effort - an easy way to ask family and friends for their support of this great cause as well! If you want the money to go to a specific cause just reach out to us with the cause and the end amount of the fundraiser and we'll make sure it goes where it needs to!
Box Tops for Education
Set up Box Tops on your phone to support Leopold! Setting up the app only takes a few moments, and once it's set up it's super easy to use: just scan your receipt - that's it! The app finds all eligible purchases and sends the money to Leopold, simple as that!

Restaurant Nights
The PFO hosts various restaurant nights throughout the school year. To join in this fundraiser requires but one thing - to eat at the designated restaurant on the night of the fundraiser. There is no extra cost or anything like that as the restaurant is giving a percentage of their proceeds to Leopold based on the sales of people eating there for the school. Be on the lookout for upcoming restaurant nights, and make sure to pay attention when there are special codes, etc. that need to be provided when ordering to ensure Leopold gets the donation!
Employer Support
Many area employers support your volunteer time and donations. Please ask your employer if they have such a program. Here are some we know of. Let us know if we can add your employer to the list!

BMO / Harris Bank - will match donations made to a qualifying non-profit (the Leopold PFO is) at a rate of $.50 for every dollar contributed, up to a maximum payment of $1,000 from BMO Harris Bank per employee per year. Contributions must be a minimum of $100 to qualify for the BMO Harris Bank match.
CUNA Mutual - will contribute $250 to a non-profit organization where employees volunteer 40 hours per year.

Grants
Leopold and the PFO rely on grant funding for many of the activities going on at Leopold. The grants are for specific needs of the school and typically are for a given time frame (usually a year). If you know of any grants that Leopold could apply for, let us know as we are always looking for more opportunities to be able to provide additional services to the school and it's community!
Donors Choose for Teachers
Our Leopold Staff are always striving to improve their classrooms and learning environments to better meet the ever-changing needs of their current students with limited funds from the school district. If you are able to add any financial support to one or more of these classroom projects, our teachers will be forever grateful! Projects can only be listed on DonorsChoose for a few months so if a project is not fully funded in time, our teachers won't receive the requested items. New requests are posted by Leopold teachers throughout the school year. Please share these projects and links with other interested family, friends and community members to help our Leopold teachers have the supplies they need to help our students do their best. If you notice a project listed is in its final days, please consider your ability to make a donation right away.
