Update from the Leopold PFO Week of June 2. 2014

Hello Leopold Families. The countdown is on! Nine days of school left.
Yearbooks
If you have not yet ordered a yearbook, there are extras available for purchase. You can bring $14 to Emily in the school office to purchase a 2013-14 yearbook.


Order School Supplies for Next Year
Leopold has partnered with the Staples Schoolkidz program to offer our families an opportunity to purchase required school supplies for the 2014-15 school year now. This is both a fundraising opportunity for our school, and a convenience for parents to avoid shopping for a list of school supplies in the fall. SchoolKidz offers the option of order a kit containing all of the school supplies your student will need in the fall in one box, delivered to the school for your convenience.

Flyers wil be coming home with students, and are customized for the supply list of each grade. In addition, kits can be ordered online at http://www.shopttkits.com. You can either fill out the flyer that comes home and return it to school with payment or go to  to order. Use account number 51038 and choose the grade your child will be entering next fall.

Paper orders are due back to the office by this Friday, June 6 and online orders are accepted through June 13th. If you have questions on the program or ordering, please contact Laura Smith at [email protected].


Trample Earning
Another big thank you to everyone who attended and helped with our 2014 Timber Wolf Trample. This year we raised about $13,000! We are excited to look at ways we can invest these funds in our classrooms.


New PFO Board
I am excited to announce some transitions to our PFO Board. Michelle Barfield and Moraima Agosto will be taking over and sharing the secretary duties. Kari Trapskin will join the board as a member-at-learge. We are thrilled to have these parents join our board. We are still looking for someone to share or take on the PFO president role.

A huge thank you to Tanya Lettman-Shue, who has served as PFO secretary for the past two years. Tanya has been a dedicated parent volunteer, and I want to thank her for her devotion to Leopold.

Sara Dawkins will continue as VP and Emily Royalty will continue as treasurer for the next year, but beginning next year, we will search for replacements for these perspectives as well, per our bylaws.
