Hello Leopold Families. We have several new addresses added to our email list this week with the receipt of directory info. If you are receiving this email for the first time, this is a weekly email from the Leopold Parent Faculty Organization that provides updates on things going on at our school. We have a very busy week ahead so be sure to read the information below carefully for important dates and information!
Many thanks to those who attended, and those who donated to, An Apple Affair, our event last week that was held to raise money for iPads at Leopold. We made just over $3,500 that we will use to purchase additional iPads for our school. We need volunteers! We are in need of volunteers for many events at Leopold. Without the participation of our families, we cannot offer the great events we all enjoy. Please sign up online for the following events: Harvest Fest, October 19, shifts vary between 12 and 5 pm : http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AACAE2CA13-harvest Picture retake day, November 8, 10am-1pm (one more volunteer needed): http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AACAE2CA13-picture2 Vision Screening October 17 and 19, times vary: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AACAE2CA13-vision Harvest Fest Leopold Harvest Fest is THIS SATURDAY! Come check out gunny sack races, face painting, cake walk, dunk tank, pumpkin launch, craft and music demonstrations, great food, live music and much more! See above to sign up for a volunteer shift. We ask that all Leopold families to take at least one volunteer shift - this is an event of many, not just a few! Feel free to bring grandparents or older siblings to help volunteer or hang out with your Leopold student. If we don't have enough volunteers, we won't be able to offer all of our fun activities. A wrist band will be required for anyone over 3 years old and older to attend Harvest Fest, including parents. Wrist bands are $5 and will allow you to participate in all Harvest Fest activities. Food and prize drawing tickets will be available for additional purchase. Food and prize drawing tickets are $1 each at the door or 6/$5 if ordered ahead of time. Order forms can be found here and are due October 15: http://www.leopoldpfo.org/2/post/2013/10/harvest-fest-flyer.html Prize Drawing Donations are due on Monday, October 14. The class that collects the most BoxTops will win a pizza party! BoxTops do NOT need to be on the collection sheet. It is helpful if they are sorted into groups of 25, but it is not necessary, we will take them any way! If you need a new BoxTop collection sheet, you can print one here: http://www.leopoldpfo.org/2/post/2013/09/box-tops-collection-sheet.html Thursday is Leopold Night at Roman Candle This Thursday evening, October 17, from 4 pm - close is Leopold Night at Roman Candle Pizza.
